I'm Allen Kajtazovic, founder of Chicago Craftsmen Builders. Carpentry has been part of my family for generations—my father, grandfather and great-grandfather all worked in the trade. I grew up around my father's workshop, watching, learning and helping from the time I was seven.
As I got older, I joined him on projects and learned to work with tools and materials firsthand. While still in high school, I began working on home renovations with my uncle. That experience grew into full-time work and project management, across new construction, renovations and the details that make a home feel complete.
In March 2024, I started Chicago Craftsmen Builders to bring that hands-on approach directly to homeowners. Today, I work closely with clients and a trusted network of skilled trades to build custom homes, transform kitchens and baths, and execute demanding details—from fine millwork to curved handrails.
I believe in being present, communicating clearly and taking responsibility for the result. The work should speak for itself.
